Alan Josephson

Lead & Rhythm Guitar

Some of us know of Led Zeppelin and some of us were there! Alan Josephson grew-up in the 70’s constantly listening to Led Zeppelin’s early albums on vinyl, cassette, and even 8-track tape … with the pinnacle being the double-live album “Song Remains The Same”, recorded at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Alan learned every song on that album by ear, and to this day still has multiple copies on vinyl.

Alan may be new to the DFW area (since early 2021), but he is a veteran in the California music scene playing in tributes to Journey, Styx, Boston, UFO/MSG, Robin Trower, and Iron Maiden. He also has been in classic rock bands covering Van Halen, AC/DC, Bad Company, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Cheap Trick, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Edgar Winter, Loverboy, Kansas, Foreigner, Santana, Steely Dan, and ZZ Top – just to name a few. Alan can truly do it all!

Additionally, Alan has taken an interest in graphic design, and has provided rich, graphic art and video content for backing screen videos projected at each Zep Unplugged concert. Utilizing AI graphic art generation software, and video editing applications, his mesmerizing videos often sync-up to the lyrics in the songs, providing an even more dynamic live concert experience.

Alan typical brings the “Guitarsenal” of instruments to Zep Unplugged shows – 6-String guitars in an assortment of tunings, 12-string guitar, Mandolin, and an all-steel resonator guitar for slide work. Every instrument is played for a memorable live concert experience!!
